A comparison will not run

Use two public HTTPS URLs on the standard port, 443. Localhost, private and reserved network addresses are blocked. Check the selected HTTP method and make sure custom headers are a JSON object with string values, for example {"Accept":"application/json"}.

A request has a 15-second limit and a 1 MB response limit. Try a smaller endpoint or paginate a large response. A rate-limit message includes how long to wait. The worked comparison guide includes a public sample and a table of expected differences.

An endpoint returns 401, 403, or 404

These are HTTP results from the destination API, and can still be compared. Check authentication requirements, permissions, the full path, and whether that method exists. Browser login cookies are not forwarded to the API. Use disposable test credentials only if you are authorized to send them through this service.

The log explanation does not match the incident

Paste one error or stack trace at a time, including its nested causes. The tool uses local pattern matching, not access to your application. An unfamiliar cause produces general troubleshooting advice. Multiple unrelated errors or suppressed exception branches can make the selected clue ambiguous.

Use the Java stack trace walkthrough to locate the relevant frame yourself. Redaction catches common token patterns, but does not guarantee that all secrets or personal details are removed.

The data generator shows an error

Start with the built-in sample and select Generate JSON. For OpenAPI, choose a schema inside components.schemas, or paste a standalone schema. Local references must point to an existing object. External references and recursive schemas need to be simplified or replaced with an explicit example.

Conflicting ranges, unsupported constraints, and unknown field types produce an explanation instead of a new payload. Copy and Download are disabled until generation succeeds. Read the schema support table and boundary tests for a complete example.

Copying or downloading does not work

Your browser may block clipboard access. Select the result text and copy it manually, or use Download in the data generator. If controls do not respond, reload the page and try a current browser with JavaScript enabled. Reloading clears unsaved inputs; copy any safe test work you need first.

Data and privacy choices

Log analysis and data generation happen in your browser. API comparisons send your configured requests through our server to the two endpoints. Do not use confidential payloads, customer records, or production secrets. The privacy page explains processing, and Privacy settings in the footer lets you change the analytics choice.
